Domain Name
Think of your domain name as your store name. It is the name and type of site you
use. For example, if your virtual store was "Joes Shoes", you would make a
http//:www.Joesshoes.com. The .com stands for commercial. Other popular extensions
would be .net (network operations), .org (organization), .edu (educational), and
.gov (US
government). For our purpose, we will pick a .com.Due to overwhelming popularity of the Internet and the rush to pick a good
name, a lot of the good domain names has been picked up. Such examples would be all prime
words, any combination of four letters and numbers. When choosing a name, you would have
to pick a double compound word or even triple for prime words, or you can still get a unique
one-word domain name. Example of a double compound word domain name would be
www.coppercafe.com, triple would
be www.coppertonecafe.com
or a unique word would be like www.dagreat.com.

To start:
Go to any Web sites listed below and simply check to see if the name you choose is
available or taken. Most places offer If you really want a name, but its not available,
you can try other countries as well, but u wont get a .com extension (cause United
States domain defaults as .com.usa) and you might end up with a .UK (United Kingdom) or
even .KO (Korea). You still can treat it like any other domain name to use in the United
States but youll have to get used to the extension. You might even end up with a
prime name!
